Did you know the Halifax mortgage calculator can give you an idea of how much you could borrow and what your monthly payments could be?

Did you know an Agreement in Principle gives you an indication of whether you could get a mortgage and how much you could borrow?
It is free of charge, there’s no obligation to continue with a full application and it'll take about 15 minutes to complete!
As we provide Halifax mortgages, you'll need to complete an AIP on the Halifax website.

It’s useful to have one ahead of requesting an appointment as it lets you know if you could get a mortgage. If you have not got one already, you can apply for one online now and it’ll only take about 15 minutes to complete.

An agreement in principle lets you know if you could move your mortgage through us. Applying for one is easy. You can use the Halifax mortgage calculator to see current deals and apply for your Agreement in Principle from there.

You can switch to a new deal if your current Halifax mortgage deal is ending, or you're on one of our lender variable rates.

Applying in branch - You'll receive advice from one of our qualified mortgage advisers. They'll ask about your needs and circumstances and then recommend our most suitable mortgage for you.

Applying online - You can apply online if:

  • You don't need advice from one of our mortgage advisers
  • You're not looking to borrow more at the same time as switching to a new deal
  • You don't want to make a change to the term or repayment type of your existing mortgage
  • Switching your deal online will take about 10 minutes and you'll need your mortgage account number to hand. We'll show you online which deals are available to you.
